"To live in this world,
 you must be able
 to do three things:
 to love what is mortal;
 to hold it
 against your bones knowing
 your own life depends on it;
 and, when the time comes to let it go,
 to let it go."

Grieving a Loss

Grief may be experienced in response to physical losses, such as death, or in response to symbolic or social losses such as divorce or loss of a job.  The grief experience can be affected by one’s history and support system. Taking care of yourself and accessing the support of friends and family can help you cope with your grief experience.  Feel free to contact a bereavement counselor at Partners Hospice by calling (406) 728-8848 or one of the following numbers:

Gretchen Strohmaier, MDiv:  (406) 327-3624
