"When Grief is Complicated" - Hospice Foundation of America's Annual Living with Grief Program

Wednesday May 3, 2017, 11 am - 2 pm

Community Medical Center, Gallagher Conference Room

2827 Fort Missoula Road, Missoula, MT 59804

This annual program is sponsored by Partners in Home Care Hospice. This presentation is free and open to the public with 2.5 hours of CE for counselors and others working with bereaved persons.  While most people are able to cope with the pain of loss, up to 10 to 20 percent of bereaved persons have more complicated reactions that may impair and impede functioning for a prolonged period of time.  The presentation begins with an overview of contemporary work on complicated grief, then explores interventive strategies to support grievers experiencing complicated forms of grief.
